Mission

The Alleviating Poverty Through Entrepreneurship Summit seeks to inspire and empower individuals to use entrepreneurship and innovation to fight poverty in communities down the street and around the globe.

Vision

APTE 2013 will be extensively marketed to universities, high schools, and professionals across the U.S. in order to build bridges between attendees. APTE will expand on the successes of previous years with a focus on creating channels for action.

Through its Innovation Marketplace, APTE 2013 seeks to provide more channels for action for all student attendees through placement in socially entrepreneurial jobs, internships, volunteer and research opportunities, and studies abroad.

In addition to examining how entrepreneurship can alleviate poverty, this year’s APTE Summit will focus on the process of getting started: utilizing your resources, networks, and talents to do something that creates meaningful, sustainable change.
